SoCo: hopdoddy
It's quite simple:
I love date night.
I love hopdoddy.
The end.
OK... I'll elaborate a little. hopdoddy is a magical burger bar located on South Congress. They grind their own meat, offer fish and veggie patty options, bake their buns from scratch, handcut the fries and use fresh & organic produce. Not convinced yet? They also have a wonderful beer selection and their cocktails are made from fresh squeezed juice + hand-made syrups. Alcohol not your thang? How about a milkshake - maybe a salted caramel milkshake?!?! (you can still spike your milkshake if you like) If your mouth isn't watering yet, I think there's something wrong with you...
St. Arnold Lawnmower
Hey Neighbor: vodka + organic veggie juices + spices + roasted garlic + fresh lime juice
fresh ground Black Angus beef patty + pepper jack cheese + roasted poblano chiles and onions + apple-smoked bacon + sliced jalapenos & habaneros + "sassy sauce" | handcut kennebec fries
bison patty + Maytag blue cheese + Frank's RedHot sauce + apple-smoked bacon + "sassy sauce" | handcut kennebec fries
When I know I'm going to eat a hearty, messy meal I focus on comfort rather than style. Lionel talked me out of stretchy pants, so I opted for relaxed shorts and a loose fitting tank. Yes, I understand the tank top is a bit see through. I could lie and tell you I planned it for the sake of fashion, but the truth is I didn't really care because I just wanted my effin burger. Plus, I didn't think my outfit would really attract attention on SoCo (hippies, hipsters and tourists - oh my!).

This is what I felt like after dinner...
This is what I felt like after Lionel couldn't figure out the camera...

It's been awhile since we walked around South Congress, so we decided to take in the sights after dinner - and try to walk off some calories.
I call the following pictures my attempt at being "artsy..."

4 kisses:
Um, we need to have one of those here. A spiked salted caramel shake?! What could possibly be better than that?!
You look adorable, I hope you had a fabulous time!
Come take a look inside A Working Mom's Closet
Thanks, Melissa! :) I didn't try the milkshake because I felt like I maxed out on my fatty food intake, but it's on my "to try" list!! I'll let you know how awesome it is
LOVING your photos! And what a pretty watermark! You are making me want a DSLR...
I need to go back to Hopdoddy - it has been much too long!
I LOOOOVE my new camera!! I've been told the Ahi Tuna burger is a must try!
